INVESTIGATION RESEARCH ANALYST POSITION OVERVIEW:
We seek a detail-oriented Investigation Research Analyst with a background in investigative research, paralegal training, or legal experience, or a Licensed Private Investigator to join our team. This is a remote part-time subcontractor opportunity. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough research, analyze legal documents, and prepare comprehensive reports to support attorneys in various legal matters. This is a remote position, and the applicant must be available during the day to discuss assignments. The investigator should be available at 9 am to review and discuss the assignment. This is a subcontract position, and the hours are not guaranteed. They may vary on a weekly basis. We suggest that applicants have additional means of income or a client base from which to draw work.
Candidates must be skilled and detail-oriented investigators with a legal background and experience in legal writing to join our team. The investigative researcher must have the ability to evaluate information presented in legal documents to gain insight and subject matter awareness and will be responsible for creating investigation reports that will be used as evidence in litigation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research and writing, with the ability to conduct investigative research. Draft clear, concise, accurate investigation reports and create supporting documents. This role requires excellent writing skills, a thorough understanding of legal terminology and concepts, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct background investigations on individuals, businesses, their owners and research.
- Draft correspondence reports.
- Ensure all legal documents are accurate and well-organized and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to gather information and discuss legal strategies.
- Review and analyze legal documents for clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal standards.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulation changes to ensure all written materials are current and accurate.
- Assist with other investigation research and writing tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Home Office Equipment – A computer running Microsoft Windows operating systems, access to Adobe to create PDFs, MS Word, and Windows 10 or later. REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience conducting investigations and legal research as a paralegal or licensed private investigator.
- Conducting comprehensive skip-trace and investigations.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and procedures.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- The ability to create and write grammatically correct research summaries.
- Home-based office and equipment.
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources, including online databases and AI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools, as we only use MS Word to create documents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR / SUBCONTRACTOR POSITIONS:
STATUS: open, accepting resumes
AOE/COE STATEMENT INVESTIGATOR: The assignments will vary between accident scene investigations and insurance Fraud Investigations, which will include AOE/COE statements (written and recorded), obtaining insurance documents from the claimant, completing reports, and uploading documents. The candidate is expected to be well-organized and detail-oriented, providing court-ready documents. Compensation is commensurate with experience and industry-standard subcontractor rates. On call as needed for assignments.
SUBROSA SURVEILLANCE: INVESTIGATOR: This role involves conducting investigations for Workers’ Compensation insurance surveillance. You will perform covert surveillance investigations on behalf of our insurance clientele. The investigator will record the subject’s activities, including spot checks, tailing, stakeouts, and report writing, as well as tailing by foot, car, public buses, and trains. You do not need to be highly experienced to apply, as we are seeking individuals with essential surveillance experience. Employees are paid an hourly wage commensurate with experience. On call as needed for assignments.
Requirements:
- Private Investigator license in CA. Or your state of residency.
- Private Investigator License in surrounding states is a plus
- 3 Experience in conducting workers’ compensation insurance investigations and surveillance (fixed/mobile).
- Provide a Copy of your Private Investigator License in Good Standing
- MUST HAVE: covert camera, digital video camera with uploading capabilities, and a laptop computer with Windows Operating System, with access to Microsoft Word.
