Private Investigator & Subcontractor PI's / Investigation Researchers

We are looking for a part-time professional licensed private investigator(s) on an as-needed basis to cover a variety of investigation assignments in the Bay Area, Fresno, Riverside, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County, California.

Private Investigators must be licensed in the state(s) where you seek assignments. Please include a copy of your PI License and indicate if you have insurance and what kind of insurance you carry. Tell us if your state requires General Insurance. 

We only hire qualified individuals for positions.

Our investigation agency provides comprehensive legal support services to attorneys and law firms.  Our legal services include skip-trace and confirmed locate services, probate and estate discovery, pre-litigation asset search investigations, and post-judgment enforcement remedies. We assist estate administrators in locating missing assets, vet clients for creditworthiness, and provide critical analysis during discovery and pre-trial phases.

We are in the business of insurance investigations and provide insurance claims-related investigation services to adjusters, TPAs, insurance companies, and employers.

INVESTIGATION RESEARCH ANALYST:

INVESTIGATION RESEARCH ANALYST POSITION OVERVIEW:

We seek a detail-oriented Investigation Research Analyst with paralegal training and experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough research, analyze legal documents, and prepare comprehensive reports to support attorneys in various legal matters. This is a remote position, and the applicant must be available during the day to discuss assignments. 

Candidates must be skilled and detail-oriented investigation researchers with a legal background and legal writing experience to join our team. The investigative researcher must have the ability to evaluate information presented in legal documents to gain insight and subject matter awareness and will be responsible for creating investigation reports that will be used as evidence in litigation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research and writing, with the ability to conduct investigative research. Draft clear, concise, accurate investigation reports and create supporting documents. This role requires excellent writing skills, a thorough understanding of legal terminology and concepts, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct legal research on various topics and areas of law.
  2. Draft and revise legal reports and correspondence with the clients.
  3. Ensure all legal documents are accurate, well-organized, and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to gather information and discuss legal strategies.
  5. Review and analyze legal documents for clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal standards.
  6. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations changes to ensure all written materials are current and accurate.
  7. Assist with other investigation research and writing tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field. (Master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred)
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in legal writing and research.
  3. Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, and procedures.
  4. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  5. Ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources, including online databases and libraries.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools.
  7. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR / SUBCONTRACTOR POSITIONS:

AOE/COE Statement Investigator: The assignments will vary between accident scene investigations and insurance Fraud Investigations, which will include AOE/COE statements (written and recorded), obtaining insurance documents from the claimant, completing reports, and uploading documents. The candidate is expected to be well-organized and detail-oriented and provide court-ready documents. Compensation is commensurate with experience subcontractor rates.

Surveillance Investigator: This role entails conducting Workers’ Compensation insurance investigation surveillance. You will perform covert surveillance investigations on behalf of our insurance clientele. The investigator will record the subject’s activities, spot checks, tailing, stakeout, report writing, and tailing by foot, car, public buses, and trains. You do not need to be highly experienced to apply, as we are seeking individuals with essential surveillance experience. Employees are paid an hourly wage commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Private Investigator license in CA.
  • Private Investigator License in surrounding states is a plus
  • 3 Experience in conducting workers’ compensation insurance investigations and surveillance (fixed/mobile).
  • Provide a Copy of your Private Investigator License in Good Standing 
  • MUST HAVE: covert camera, digital video camera with uploading capabilities, and laptop computer with Windows Operating System with access to Microsoft Word.
  • Clear Driving Record.

  • Pass an employment background investigation.
  • Reliable car, SUV with tinted windows, a fuel-efficient vehicle with auto liability insurance.
